Cultivating a Resilient Future: Our Commitment to People and the Planet

At Greentide, we believe that sourcing coffee responsibly requires more than just quality control. It means knowing exactly where your coffee comes from, how it is produced, and the impact our supply chain has on the people and places behind every bean. For us, sustainability isn’t just a marketing claim, it is a core value embedded in how we operate.

Doing Business the Right Way

Our approach is grounded in internationally recognized frameworks, ensuring that we hold ourselves accountable to the same high standards we expect from our partners. From our producer-partnership model in Ethiopia to our internal policies on equality, we are committed to transparency and integrity.

A Responsible Supply Chain and Environment

Our sourcing policy is built on the OECD Guidance for Responsible Agricultural Supply Chains. We uphold international labor standards, respect human rights without distinction, and consult with local communities before any operations that may affect them. On the environmental side, we actively support our suppliers in reducing food loss, adopting good agricultural practices to avoid soil erosion, and improving energy efficiency. Our goal is a supply chain that is not only reliable but future-proof.

Championing Gender Equality

A better supply chain starts with a better workplace. Green Tide Italia operates a formal Gender Equality Plan that promotes equal access to employment, training, and career progression. A dedicated internal committee—equally split between men and women—oversees work-life balance initiatives, maternity support, and the removal of structural barriers to equity. We monitor gender representation in leadership and decision-making at every level of our organization.

Certifications and Standards

Green Tide Italia is Rainforest Alliance certified. Our RFA Certification Management Plan enforces full traceability from origin to delivery. Certified products are kept visually separate, transported in sealed containers, and backed by rigorous documentation at every stage. Annual equipment calibration, a complaints register, and quarterly volume reporting ensure accountability throughout our entire process.

Our Sustainability Roadmap

Sustainability isn’t a destination, it’s a direction. We are proud of where we stand today, with our RFA certification, OECD policy alignment, and Gender Equality Plan fully in place. We are currently working toward ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, as well as our B Impact Assessment. On the horizon, we are looking forward to B Corp certification and our first Voluntary Sustainability Report to continue sharing our progress with you.
