2. Processing of personal data
2.1 Visiting the website
Each time you visit our website, technical information such as your IP address, date and time of access, browser type, and operating system is automatically collected. This information is evaluated for statistical purposes in order to improve our website and ensure security. The legal basis for processing this data is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in the functionality and security of our website.
2.2 Use of cookies
We use cookies to improve the user-friendliness of our website and to provide certain functions. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. They enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit our website.
You can control the use of cookies in your browser settings and reject them if necessary. Please note that deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of our website.
2.3 Web Analytics with Matomo
This website uses Matomo, an open-source web analytics platform, to analyze website usage and continuously improve our online offering. Matomo is hosted on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) within the European Union. A Data Processing Agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with Hetzner.
We use Matomo without cookies and with IP anonymization (the last two octets of your IP address are masked). No information is stored on your device. The data collected — such as anonymized IP address, pages visited, browser type, and device information — is processed solely on our servers and is not shared with third parties. We also use the Matomo Tag Manager to manage our tracking setup. The Tag Manager itself does not collect any personal data or set cookies.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in website optimization). Since no cookies are used and data is anonymized, no separate consent is required.
3. Transfer of data to third parties
We only transfer your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the fulfillment of the contract or to comply with legal obligations, if you have given your consent, or if the transfer is necessary to protect our legitimate interests. In doing so, we ensure that appropriate data protection measures are taken.
4. Your rights
You have the right to obtain information about the processing of your personal data. You can also request the correction, deletion, or restriction of the processing of your personal data. In addition, you have the right to data portability and the right to object to the processing of your personal data.
If you have given your consent to the processing of your personal data, you can revoke this consent at any time. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out until the revocation.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection regulations.
5. Storage period
6. Updating the privacy policy
This privacy policy is regularly revised to adapt it to changed legal requirements or changes in our data processing practices. Please check this privacy policy regularly to stay informed about any changes.
